Food Chronicles: Root Beer Float

Drinking something chilled, frothy and bubbly is always a good thing – but I’m not talking about champagne this time! I’m bringing you back to your childhood with a bit of a twist. The spiked root beer float.

This idea came when I was skimming through Cosmo Online. I came across an article about how to throw the perfect game night with your friends. The item that caught my eye though was the float idea.

Spiked Root Beer Floats

2 scoops vanilla ice cream

1 can root beer

2 ounces vanilla vodka

1 chocolate candy straw

Scoop the ice cream into chilled pint glasses. Fill the glass up to about 1 inch from the rim with root beer. Toss in the vanilla vodka (optional) and garnish with a chocolate straw.
