I would like to introduce to you MyrdaJ Designs!
Recently I was contacted by the designer about her new line of plus-size clothing. After checking it out online I was hooked – when she gave me the opportunity to feature one of her pieces on the blog I jumped at the chance. I was sent the Collared Cut Out Top in Dot for free from the designer to feature on the blog.
When I found it in my mailbox the other day I about jumped from excitement. The top is beautiful and silky to the touch and I just love how flowy it is. It’s super flattering and honestly it pushes me a little outside my comfort zone, and I like it!
The trends recently have been circling around baring more of your midriff in plus-size fashion and I’ve been wanting to try it out. Like a lot of others, I’m self-conscious about showing off my stomach. Why? I honestly can’t pin point it, because I like how it looks! But stepping out in this top made me a little nervous, yet excited.
Now a little about Myrda J:
Her line will not be exclusively plus-size because she, like most of us, feel style has no size. “In my present state, I am happy. This is my size and I want to be able to wear affordable, classic sit pieces with a bit of edge or style comfortably in my own skin,” said Myrda in a recent interview.
I love this about her because we need more designers who feel like this. And her collection follows this statement, they’re comfortable pieces with some edge and are on the cutting edge of fashion. The fact she picked to design for plus-size first is amazing and I thank her whole heartedly!
Curious about her target market? It’s you! Women from 25-40, plus or straight sized. She’s not designing for the die hard fashionista (thought they will adore her line), “but an everyday fashion conscious person that likes to take pride in what she sees in the mirror regardless of her size and looks.”
